Blackwell Energy are SEAI registered for non-domestic solar PV installations and offer nationwide installation to all schools approved under the Schools Photovoltaic Programme. The first phase of the Programme includes over 1,600 schools opened for applications on 30th November 2023. Phase 2 of the program opened on November 11th 2024 and include another 300 Schools across the country. Blackwell Energy are proud to have played a major part in the first phase of the program completing over 35 solar installs in the qualifying counties. We are excited about the decision to extending the scheme to the rest of the country and feel it’s a huge leap forward in the governments commitment to battling climate change. As secondary and very important benefit of the scheme will be to educate our next generation of the importance of incorporating renewable energy as we move forward to a greener future
The scheme will fully fund a solar installation up to 6 kWp which equates to 14 panels of roof-mounted solar PV, connection to the grid and a monitoring system and display screen.
