The Targeted Agricultural Modernisation Scheme (TAMS 3) is designed to support farmers in adopting renewable energy solutions that reduce energy costs and lower their carbon footprint. The scheme is jointly funded by the Irish Government and the European Union under the Rural Development Plan 2014–2022 and the CAP Strategic Plan 2023–2027. Farmers can avail of grant aid of up to 60%, with a maximum investment ceiling of €90,000 per holding. The minimum eligible investment under the scheme is €2,000.
