Domestic Solar PV Grant
Year 2025 is time to get solar PV system in Ireland €1,800 SEAI grant, 0% VAT and favourable payback make the cost lower. - €700 per kWp for the first 2kWp (Max €1,400)
- €200 per kWp for the next 2kWp (2-4 kWp)
- Maximum grant is €1800 (for system ≥4 kWp )
- Must be homeowner of a residential built and occupied on or before 31st December 2020
- No prior solar PV grant for this MPRN
- Installed by an SEAI-registered solar installer and wired by a Safe Electric-Certified electrician
- A post-installation BER is required begore payment
- Apply first via SEAI’s online portal
- Receive grant approval
- complete installation and BER within 8 months of the offer
- apply to ESB Networks using the NC6 form for Grid connection
- Submit declaration of work, BER certificate, and all required paperwork
- SEAI typically process payment within 4-6 weeks of submission

Non- Domestic Solar Grant
The SEAI Non-Domestic Solar PV Grant supports businesses, farms, schools, community groups, and public buildings in reducing energy costs through solar power. Grants are available for systems up to 1,000 kWp, with funding of up to €162,600 depending on system size.
To qualify, the system must be installed by an SEAI-approved installer and meet all technical and safety standards.

- 2.1–6 kWp: €300/kWp
- 7–20 kWp: €300/kWp

- 201–1,000 kWp: €150/kWp (grant capped at €162,600)
